Memorial Day 2009

Today, we went to the State Capitol to celebrate Memorial Day. What a humbling and sobering experience. We are thankful for those who have paid the ultimate price for our freedoms. They will never be forgotten!

Piano Recital

Yesterday TJ had a piano recital in which he played two songs by memory. He did a wonderful job and we are very proud of him and his hard work in preparing. As you can see he is in the picture, he is in deep concentration as he makes his way through one of the songs.

A. W. Tozer Quote

I am reading again, a wonderful book by A. W. Tozer entitled, "The Knowledge of the Holy." I highly recommend it to you as part of your reading diet. I was moved by Tozer's comments from chapter 13 entitled, "The Divine Transcendence." In it he states,

"When men no longer fear God, they transgress His laws without hesitation. The fear of consequences is no deterrent when the fear of God is gone."

How sobering and relevant in our day!
